I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14).
Heavenly Father, thank You "it is God who work in [us] to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose." (Philippians 2:13)
It is easy, Lord, to dwell on regrets, and on the mistakes of the past. Help me to forget what is behind. Help me to do the tasks I need to do today. Help me to keep my eyes on the goal, and to "strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me." (Colossians 1:29).
Help me to press on.
