Daily Affirmations - All's Right with the World- Day 2

“Turn to Me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. By Myself I have sworn, My mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked: Before Me every knee will bow; by Me every tongue will swear. They will say of Me, ‘In the Lord alone are deliverance and strength’” (Isaiah 45:22-24).

Heavenly Father, Sovereign Lord, You are God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas... (Psalm 65:5). You have offered Your salvation to all humanity with Your invitation, "Turn to Me and be saved, all You ends of the earth; for I AM God, and there is no other..." (Isaiah 45:22).

Lord, You are Sovereign and supreme. When You made Your promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for You to swear by, You swore by Yourself... (Hebrews 6:13). And here, speaking through the prophet Isaiah, You again swear by Yourself as the highest authority, that every knee will bow before You, and every tongue will swear, 'In the Lord alone are deliverance and strength' (Isaiah 45:24).

And to make it clear that Your salvation is offered through You alone, through the sacrifice of Your Son that You sent, You undeniably affirmed His deity, proclaiming the same message about Your Messiah:

…Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God... humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:5-11).

Father, In the scenes of heavenly worship You have revealed to us in Your word, we see an outpouring of praise being offered to the the Lord Jesus, with the grateful proclamation:

“You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and with Your blood You purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation" (Revelation 5:9).

Thank You for Your deliverance and strength. O God, the hope of all the ends of the earth. We pray for those who have no hope. Draw them into Your grace. The Lord Jesus promised, And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself.” We bring that promise to You as we pray for those on our hearts. We think of the ones, who, even as they wrestle with fear, also wrestle with unbelief. Touch their hearts. Draw them into Your peace.

We pray for the weary. For the fearful. For the doubtful. For the angry. For the bitter. For the lost. Revive spirits, unveil eyes. We remember Your promise to Your ancient people, My righteousness draws near speedily, My salvation is on the way (Isaiah 51:5).

Thank You Lord, that in You, we find peace and joy. Thank You that in spite of the darkness, You are sovereign. We rest assured in Your promise that in Your time, according to Your perfect purpose, You will bring all things into subjection (1 Corinthians 15:28).
