For the sake of His great name the Lord will not reject his people, because the Lord was pleased to make you His own. (1 Samuel 12:22)
Thank you, Lord, that unlike humans, You do not lie or change Your mind. You speak and act, You promise and fulfill (Numbers 23:19). In the past You promised not to reject Your people for the sake of Your great Name and Your flawless reputation.
You are that same faithful and unchanging God who through Your Son, Jesus, has called all who believe and trust in You to be "a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession..." (1 Peter 2:9)
