Day 6: Consider one another
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works (Hebrews 10:24 – NKJV).
We praise You, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). He is Your chosen and precious cornerstone, and we also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:4-5).
Lord God, You have placed us in community to work together in love and unity— to be Your living temple. The Lord Jesus declared, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it (Matthew 16:18). And having left us with the command, Love one another” (John 13:34), He teaches us through the Holy Spirit and the God-breathed pages of Scripture, the practical applications of His command:
So those of us who have a strong faith must be patient with the weaknesses of those whose faith is not so strong. We must not think only of ourselves. We should all be concerned about our neighbor and the good things that will build his faith (Romans 15:1-2 - NOG - Names of God Bible Translation).
Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you (2 Corinthians 13:11).
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2 - NKJV).
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others (Philippians 1:3-4).
Encourage one another and build each other up... (1 Thessalonians 5:11):
But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness (Hebrews 3:13).
In Your flawless design, Lord, You cause us all to thrive when we motivate, and reinforce, and strengthen each other. Help us to make the conscious, intentional choices that support our critical interdependency, and build us up in the faith.
Help us to consider one another, to love one another, to esteem one another. Give us a contagious spirit of kindness and goodwill. Teach us to kindle in each other great zeal and rousing enthusiasm for love and good works.
