"Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly (Acts 4:29-31).
Almighty God and Father in heaven, thank You for the message of peace, hope and healing You provide through the name of Your holy servant Jesus. Thank You for Your disciples who spoke that message with boldness two thousand years ago, so that others through the centuries could hear about Your love, Your grace, and Your goodness.
Remind us that Your hands are still stretched out to heal and to provide evidence of who You are. That Your eyes of mercy and compassion see the groaning and the suffering, the despair, and the confusion all around, and that You long to be gracious to us (Isaiah 30:18).
Thank You Father, that because You know humans "don't got this", "[Jesus] Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by His wounds [we] have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)
Lord, enable Your servants today in the wisdom and the power of the Holy Spirit to speak this message with the same "great boldness" as Your disciples. We ask as they did, that You stretch out Your hand to display Your power. Now, as then, You are the only One who can attest to the validity of Your message.
In my own sphere, Father, let me speak Your word boldly and show Your grace by serving those around me with love and humility. Enlarge my territory. Expand my reach. Make me a channel of Your blessing. I am Your servant Lord.
Pray also for me. Pray that whenever I speak, the right words will be given to me. Then I can be bold as I tell the mystery of the good news (Ephesians 6:19)
