Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you
(John 13:14-15).
Father in heaven, thank You for the example of humility displayed by the Lord Jesus. Knowing "that He had come from God and was returning to God," He washed the feet of mere humans.
I pray that I, too, would be so secure in Your love and care that I can follow this amazing example of humility. Give me opportunities today to serve others in humility, with love and compassion.
