Daily Affirmations - Remember Me - Day 3

Lord, You understand; remember me and care for me... (Jeremiah 15:15).

Our Father, You hear our very heart—every single sigh or groan wrenched from deep within. We thank You that when we have no words of our own, we can "borrow" the words of those who have poured out their hearts before You in the pages of Scripture.

And when we are burdened, or troubled, or restless, or overwhelmed, and we do not know what we ought to pray for, thank You that...the Spirit helps us in our weakness...the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans (Romans 8:26).

Lord, in the simple words of Jeremiah, You understand. You understand our fears and our failures, our heartaches and our hurts, our needs and our strivings, our limitations and our frustrations. All [our] longings lie open before You, Lord; [our] sighing is not hidden from You (Psalm 38:9).

We lift to You every trouble, every burden, every fear, every anxiety. Every spiritual battle we face. Every temptation, every stronghold. Strengthen and uphold us.

Every physical challenge. Bodies and minds racked with pain. Broken hearts, wounded spirits. Tangled emotions, depressed thoughts. Heal and restore us.

Every difficult path. Medical procedures, treatment processes. Long-term care, hospice situations. The valley of the shadow, grief and pain. Comfort and sustain us.

Every uncertain future. Family complications, childcare needs. Longing and loneliness, rifts and betrayals. Job stress and upheaval, financial setbacks and dire straits. Guide and help us.

Father, You see every trouble, too numerous to mention. You know the story behind every mask, every shutter, every smile. Lord, You understand; remember me and care for me... (Jeremiah 15:15).

What a comfort that we can cast all our anxiety on You because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7)! Teach us to release our burdens to You, drawn by the words of our Lord Jesus, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).

Lord, You understand. Do Lord, remember me and care for me.
