I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe (Ephesians 1:17-19).
Oh God and Father of our Lord Jesus, the glorious Father, You are the Creator of Light. Only from You come wisdom and enlightenment. You are Light, and in You there is no darkness at all. Thank You for "the message we have heard from [You] and declare... God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all" (1 John 1:5).
Father, thank You for the hope that we have in You, the riches of Your glorious inheritance, and the power beyond compare You give to those who believe. Help us to "walk in the light as [You are] in the Light." Help us to participate in community with each other. Thank You that through the sacrificial death of Jesus we are cleansed and purified (1 John 1:7).
Lord today, fill me with Your light and Your truth. Give me Your Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that I may know You better. Open the eyes of my heart to receive more of You. Help me share Your message of love and grace in all I do and say.
