Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
Lord of the harvest, You bring everything to fulfillment at the proper time. Sometimes, it feels like the way is hard, and the road is long, and we become so weary. Thank You for the encouragement from Your word that we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Increase our strength Lord! Help us to persevere, "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." Help us to "consider Him who endured such opposition... so that [we] will not grow weary and lose heart" (Hebrews 12:2-3).
Father, help me today not to water the things that hinder, or the weeds that entangle (Hebrews 12:1). Instead, let me sow and water the seeds of Your goodness. Send me out into the fields of need. Help me share Your abundance in the desolate wastelands of physical and spiritual hunger.
Remind me that You are the God who makes "a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Keep me focused on Your kingdom. Let me look ahead to the joy of the harvest so that I can have the strength and perseverance to endure to the end.
