Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-7).
Father, trust is difficult because we are full of pride, and we desire to be in control. But we realize more and more that we have no control. No one around us has any control. We see business, social, and political structures crumbling all around us.
You alone are God. You alone are Sovereign, You are wise and powerful, You are good. Help us to see the foolishness of wanting to trust our own puny strength instead of Your Sovereign grace.
Help me to trust in You with all my heart. Help me to lean on You and not on my flawed and limited understanding. Help me to submit to You in all my ways—and to yield to Your Sovereign will in every area of my life.
Thank You Lord, for Your promise to make my path straight. Order my steps and let me bring You delight in the path I take.
