Daily Affirmations - Wings of Refuge - Day 4

“Because You are my help, I sing in the shadow of Your wings" (Psalm 63:7).

Oh Father, we raise to You a song—a melody of praise. Thank You for the songs of heaven, echoes from the harmony when "the morning stars sang together, and all the angels shouted for joy" (Job 38:7).

You fill our hearts with "psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit." We "sing and make music in [our] hearts to the Lord" (Ephesians 5:19) in the words of the psalmist:

“You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek You; I thirst for You, my whole being longs for You, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld your power and Your glory. Because Your love is better than life, my lips will glorify You.

I will praise You as long as I live, and in Your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise You. On my bed I remember You; I think of You through the watches of the night.

Because You are my help, I sing in the shadow of Your wings. I cling to you; Your right hand upholds me” (Psalm 63: 1-8).

We sing to You O God, "giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Ephesians 5:20).

In My Heart There Rings a Melody

I have a song that Jesus gave me It was sent from heav’n above There never was a sweeter melody ‘Tis a melody of love

In my heart there rings a melody There rings a melody with heaven’s harmony In my heart there rings a melody There rings a melody of love

I love the Christ who died on Calv’ry For He washed my sins away He put within my heart a melody And I know it’s there to stay

‘Twill be my endless theme in glory With the angels I will sing ‘Twill be a song with glorious harmony When the courts of heaven ring
